Alumni Network Return to Imara Comprehensive Primary School

We are building a movement of outstanding young leaders dedicated to ending education inequality. On September 20, we witnessed this mission come to life during our Annual Alumni back-to-school visit at Imara Comprehensive Primary School in Kayole. This event highlighted the continued commitment of our alumni to supporting learners in their educational journeys.

A Day of Empowerment

Our alumni supported 62 eager learners during this impactful visit by providing essential school supplies. Each student received:

– Three exercise books
– Two pens
– Two pencils
– A 30 cm ruler
– A rubber
– A sharpener

In addition, the learners were gifted storybooks and workbooks, all aimed at enhancing their literacy skills and fostering a love for reading. These resources are vital in equipping students with the tools they need to succeed academically.

A Warm Welcome

The event was warmly welcomed by the faculty and administration of Imara Comprehensive Primary School, underscoring the importance of community engagement in education. Their appreciation for our alumni’s involvement highlighted the power of collaboration in making a difference.

 Alumni Leadership and Commitment

The initiative was led by TFK alumni, including Musa Galgalo, whose passion and dedication were evident throughout the day. Their presence served as a powerful reminder that addressing educational inequality is an ongoing journey that extends well beyond the two-year fellowship. The alumni’s return to their roots, actively engaging with and uplifting the next generation of learners, reinforces the spirit of our movement.

  Moving Forward Together

This alumni visit was not just about providing resources; it was a celebration of our shared commitment to tackling educational disparities. It’s essential for our alumni to return to schools, reminding students and staff alike that they are not alone in their educational pursuits.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, including our dedicated fellows who assisted with the distribution. Together, let’s keep the momentum going as we inspire change and create brighter futures for our students! Your support is vital as we continue this journey towards educational equity in Kenya.
