Step by Step
How does Teach For Kenya work?

1. RECRUITMENT , SELECTION, & MATRICULATION
Teach For Kenya recruits and select Kenya’s’ diverse and promising future leaders to channel their energy into expanding opportunity for children in their countries

2. INITIAL PARTICIPANT TRAINING
Teach For Kenya develops participants in a 6 weeks Initial Training course to build to equip participants with teaching methodologies and leadership skills

3. PARTICIPANTS PLACED AS TEACHERS
Teach For Kenya works with the national Ministry of Education and local governments to place participants as teachers for at least two years in Kenya’s’ under-resourced schools and communities

4. PARTICIPANT ONGOING SUPPORT
Teach For Kenya supports and develops participants to work together with community members, families, and local leaders towards a shared vision for student success & to gain the foundation for a lifetime of leadership for children

5. CULTIVATE LEADERSHIP
Teach For Kenya cultivates long-term collective leadership among alumni, allies, and community members in pursuit of progress towards the vision for student success

6. SHARE AND ADAPT SOLUTIONS
Teach For Kenya staff, teachers, alumni and allies will connect with Teach For All network partner organizations and peers to share solutions to accelerate progress in communities worldwide
